- 500ml custard
- 100g dark chocolate
- 100ml Alchermes liqueur
- 50g powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Cut the sponge cake into thin slices.
- Prepare the custard and let it cool.
- Melt the dark chocolate and mix it with half of the custard to create chocolate cream.
- Layer the sponge cake in a dish, soaking each layer with Alchermes liqueur.
- Alternate layers of vanilla custard and chocolate cream.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, replace Alchermes with fruit juice.
- Ensure all layers are even for the best texture.
- Serve chilled for the best flavor.
