Description

A traditional Italian Christmas cake, rich in flavors and perfect for festive celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 200g sugar
  • 150g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 100g candied fruit
  • 50g raisins
  • 50g almonds
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl.
  3. Add softened butter and eggs, then mix well.
  4. Fold in candied fruit, raisins, and chopped almonds.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool before serving.

Notes

  • Soak raisins in warm water for 10 minutes before using.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving for extra sweetness.
