- 500g savoiardi (ladyfingers)
- 500g mascarpone cheese
- 300ml heavy cream
- 100g sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 200ml strong coffee, cooled
- 50g dark chocolate, grated
Instructions
- Whip the heavy cream with sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in mascarpone and vanilla extract gently.
- Dip each savoiardi briefly in coffee and layer them in a dish.
- Spread half the cream mixture over the first layer.
- Repeat with another layer of coffee-dipped savoiardi.
- Top with remaining cream and smooth the surface.
- Dust with cocoa powder and grated chocolate.
- Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use freshly brewed coffee for best flavor.
- Don’t oversoak the savoiardi to prevent sogginess.
- For a boozy version, add 1 tbsp rum to the coffee.
