Ingredients

  • 3 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, then mix well.
  4. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, stirring until combined.
  5. Fold in diced apples.
  6. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • Use firm apples like Granny Smith for best texture.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
