Ingredients

- 200g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 100g butter, melted
- 100ml milk
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan.
- Whisk eggs and sugar until fluffy.
- Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold into the batter.
- Add lemon zest and mix gently.
- Pour batter into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Let cool before serving.

- Use room-temperature eggs for better volume.
- Check doneness with a toothpick.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
