Description

- 500g ground beef
- 1 egg
- 50g breadcrumbs
- 50g grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 400g canned tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
- Mix ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and brown the meatballs on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté the onion until soft.
- Add canned tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, vinegar, and bay leaf. Stir well.
- Return the meatballs to the pan and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Use fresh breadcrumbs for better texture.
- Adjust sugar and vinegar to taste.
- Serve with crusty bread or pasta.
