Description
A crostata di frutta is a traditional Italian fruit tart with a buttery crust and fresh fruit topping.
Ingredients

- 250g all-purpose flour
- 125g unsalted butter, chilled
- 100g sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- Pinch of salt
- 500g mixed fresh fruit (berries, peaches, apricots)
- 2 tbsp apricot jam
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in chilled butter until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- Add egg and egg yolk, knead into a dough.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes.
- Roll out dough and line a tart pan.
- Arrange fresh fruit on top.
- Bake at 180°C for 35-40 minutes.
- Heat apricot jam and brush over baked tart.

- Use cold butter for flaky crust.
- Chill dough before rolling.
