Description

Chiacchiere veloci are traditional Italian fried pastries, often made during Carnival. They are light, crispy, and dusted with powdered sugar.


Ingredients

  • 250g all-purpose flour
  • 50g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 30g butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp white wine or grappa (optional)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Add eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and wine. Knead into a smooth dough.
  3. Roll the dough thinly and cut into rectangles or ribbons.
  4. Fry in hot oil until golden and crisp.
  5. Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar.
