Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Add softened butter and rub it into the flour mixture.
- Gradually add milk and rum/vanilla extract, kneading until smooth.
- Roll the dough thinly and cut into strips or rectangles.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the chiacchiere until golden.
- Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar.
