Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the egg, softened butter, and white wine. Knead into a smooth dough.
- Roll the dough thinly on a floured surface.
- Cut into strips or rectangles, then twist or shape as desired.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the chiacchiere until golden.
- Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add lemon zest to the dough.
- Keep the oil temperature steady to avoid burning.
