Description

Crispy fried dough pastries coated in chocolate, a delightful Italian treat for festive occasions.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp white wine
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 200g dark chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl
  2. Add eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and wine
  3. Knead into smooth dough
  4. Roll dough thin and cut into strips
  5. Fry in hot oil until golden
  6. Drain on paper towels
  7. Dip in melted chocolate
  8. Let chocolate set before serving

Notes

  • Dough should rest 30 minutes before rolling
  • Keep oil at 180°C for best results
  • Can dust with powdered sugar instead of chocolate
