- 4 large artichokes
- 2 lemons
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Clean the artichokes by removing tough outer leaves and trimming the stems.
- Rub cut surfaces with lemon to prevent browning.
- In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Place artichokes in the pan, cut side down.
- Add salt, pepper, and water.
- Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes until tender.
- Sprinkle with parsley before serving.
