- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk

- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1 tbsp black food coloring
- 1 tbsp rose water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, vanilla, and rose water. Mix until smooth.
- Gradually add hot water and black food coloring, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Divide batter evenly between the prepared pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Frost and decorate as desired.
Notes
- Use gel-based black food coloring for a deeper color.
- Adjust rose water to taste preference.
- Store in an airtight container for freshness.
