Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • Black food coloring
  • Rose gold edible dust

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 9-inch cake pans.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in boiling water. Add black food coloring until desired shade is reached.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Cool cakes completely before frosting.
  7. Apply rose gold edible dust to decorate.

Notes

  • Use gel food coloring for deeper black color.
  • Allow cakes to cool completely before applying rose gold dust.
