Description

Biscotti San Valentino are classic Italian almond cookies, perfect for Valentine’s Day. They are crunchy, slightly sweet, and ideal for dipping in coffee or dessert wine.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 100g almonds, whole or chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, then knead into a dough.
  4. Fold in the almonds.
  5. Shape the dough into a log and place on a baking tray.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes, then let cool slightly.
  7. Slice into 1cm-thick pieces and bake for another 10 minutes until crisp.
