Biscotti San Valentino al Cioccolato are crunchy Italian cookies perfect for Valentine’s Day, featuring a rich chocolate flavor and a delightful almond crunch.
Ingredients

- 250g all-purpose flour
- 50g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 150g granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 large eggs
- 100g chopped almonds
- 100g dark chocolate chips
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mix until a dough forms.
- Fold in chopped almonds and chocolate chips.
- Shape the dough into a log and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove from oven, let cool for 10 minutes, then slice into 1cm pieces.
- Lay slices flat on the baking sheet and bake for another 10 minutes.
- Let cool completely before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
- For extra richness, drizzle melted chocolate over the cooled biscotti.
