Ingredients

  • 100g sugar
  • 100g butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 150g jam or chocolate spread for filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add softened butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Knead into a smooth dough.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut into heart shapes.
  5. Place half the hearts on a baking tray. Add a small amount of filling in the center.
  6. Cover with the remaining hearts and press the edges to seal.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  8. Let cool before serving.
