Description

Agnello al Forno con Patate is a classic Italian dish featuring tender roasted lamb with crispy potatoes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 kg leg of lamb
  • 1 kg potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup white wine

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Rub lamb with garlic, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place potatoes in roasting pan and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Put lamb on top of potatoes.
  5. Pour white wine around the lamb.
  6. Roast for 1.5 hours or until lamb reaches 60°C (140°F) internal temperature.
  7. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness.
  • Add more wine if potatoes look dry during cooking.
